An agreement to this effect was signed yesterday by the Minister of Transport, Mohammed al Shahoubi, and the Chief of Staff of the armed forces loyal to the Tripoli executive, General Mohammed Haddad, in the presence of Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dabaiba. « The government will not cede an inch of Libyan territory, » the Prime Minister stated according to a government release, referring to recent reports about the alleged 99-year lease of the El Khums maritime port to Turkey, which is expected to use it as a military base.
