Marhaba 2024: Over 30,000 Moroccans Living Abroad Have Passed Through the Port of Al Hoceima

Al Hoceima – Approximately 30,555 Moroccans Living Abroad (MRE) have transited through the port of Al Hoceima since the launch of the « Marhaba 2024 » operation, up until last Saturday.

Marhaba 2024: According to the director of the port of Al Hoceima, Adil El Bardi, the passengers who passed through the port are divided into 20,223 arriving in Morocco and 10,332 departing abroad.

Additionally, a total of 7,690 vehicles have transited through the port of Al Hoceima, including 2,508 incoming vehicles and 5,182 outgoing vehicles, he noted, adding that a series of measures have been implemented to facilitate these operations.

The number of arrivals during this period, both for passengers and vehicles, has seen a decrease of 15% and 13% respectively, he pointed out, explaining that this decline is primarily due to the late start of the Marhaba operation this year at the port.

He also added that the National Ports Agency continues its efforts to enhance the port’s facilities by installing state-of-the-art security and comfort equipment.
